Help a kid-built Roblox town open its gates to kids.
Angel Rift Town is live on Roblox. The catch: Roblox only lets age-checked adults into a new game until 250 of them have really played it. Be one of the 250. Play a few Halloween sessions, tell us what broke, and be first in line when the Kickstarter opens.
Get on the list.
One email when the Kickstarter goes live, one when the Halloween event opens, and the playtest checklist. That is it. Unsubscribe any time.
¿Hablas español? Check the box and you will hear about the Spanish edition of the course first.
How the crew works.
Roblox counts a play once it comes from an age-checked adult account that has spent real time in the game. Here is how to be counted.
Age-check your account
Your own Roblox account, not your kid's. Roblox Settings → Account Info → Verify. Two minutes with a selfie or ID.
Play 3 sessions
Ten minutes each, any three days between Oct 24 and Dec 23. The Halloween event runs Oct 24 to Nov 2, and Thursday 6pm PT is crew Town Hall night.
Get your name on the wall
Crew members go on the Founders Wall in town, and get the founder price on the course when the Kickstarter opens.
What Roblox is counting.
Roblox's own rule for opening a new game to kids: 250 unique plays from highly engaged, age-checked 16+ accounts within 60 days. "Highly engaged" means an account with some history, real time in the game, and any purchase anywhere on Roblox in the last 60 days. Not a purchase in our game. Angel Rift Town is free.
- Roblox account that is at least a few weeks old
- Age check completed on that account
- Any Robux purchase on that account in the last 60 days, even the smallest one
- Three sessions of ten minutes or more
- One feedback form: what was fun, what was confusing, what broke
What the Kickstarter funds.
The game is already built. The Kickstarter funds the course that teaches kids and parents to build their own.
Make a Roblox Game in 30 Days
Five weekly builds with an AI coworker, from a blank Studio to a published game with coins, saving, and a shop. Angel Rift Town is the case study every week.
$2,000 to open the doors
Covers Kickstarter fees, the Roblox all-ages publishing fee, the community platform, and the recording tools. Everything else is already paid for.
Founder pricing, first
Crew members get the email before the campaign is public. Early tiers are limited, and the crew gets the first shot at them.
Quick answers.
Can my kid play now?
Not yet. That is the whole point of the crew. Once Roblox finishes its evaluation, the game opens to Roblox Kids and Select accounts and your kid plays the town you tested.
Does joining the crew cost anything?
No. The crew is free. The Kickstarter is separate and optional. Crew members just hear about it first.
What is Angel Rift Town?
A town-sized Roblox game for ages 6 and up, built in 16 days by Derek with an AI coworker, with the vocabulary checked by a five-year-old. Pets, stars, a roller coaster, and a Halloween event.
Will there be a Spanish version?
The course, yes, if the Kickstarter hits its first stretch goal. It is a bilingual household behind this project. Check the Spanish box above and you will hear first.
